Our mission

CompareGlasses started with twelve browser tabs and a lot of frustration. One of our founders, Aaron, was trying to buy a new pair of frames online, and what should have taken minutes stretched into hours. The glasses he liked were scattered across a dozen retailers with no single place to line them up, so he did what everyone ends up doing: opened tab after tab, flicking between them, trying to hold a dozen slightly different listings in his head at once.

The problem wasn't too much choice, it was the chaos. Every site measured and described frames differently: one used its own names for a shape another labelled plainly, a third left key measurements out altogether. Comparing like for like was slow and often impossible. Almost every other product you can think of has a site that pulls the options into one place and lets you weigh them up in minutes. For glasses, the few tools that exist tend to cover only select brands on one end of the market, either a few budget sites or the designer names, never the whole picture.

So we built the thing he wished existed. CompareGlasses gathers frames from trusted UK retailers across the full price range, from budget buys to designer labels, and translates every listing into one standardised set of specifications, so a lens width, bridge measurement or frame material means the same thing wherever it comes from. It all sits in one place that's easy to search and navigate, so you can finally compare properly, right across your budget, and find the pair that's the best match for your face and your style.

CompareGlasses is funded by affiliate commission, which means that when you buy through one of our links we may earn a small amount at no extra cost to you.
